Every first Monday of Every Month At the CENTRAL STATION, 37 Wharfdale Rd, Kings Cross, N1 9SD
Poetry Workshop: 7.30pm Open Mic: 9 – 11.30pm
RAW is free. The poetry workshop has a different theme each time to get the words going – then it can take you any place. The important thing is:
‘It’s not how good you are – It is how real you are’
RAW Open Mic is prebooked, but you may turn up on the night in the hope someone has cancelled. It is for both spoken and sung words. The audience give 1-5 ‘GEMS’ (votes) to the acts and the four who get most gain a 30/40 minute gig at RAW GEMS. |
Happens every other month at a different location (For now at the ZENITH BAR, 125 Packington Street, Angel/Islington N1 7EA) 8.30 – 11.30: A night of four brilliant RAW GEMS acts, music/poetry/stories/comedy, who knows who have won their GEMS... Starts 8.30pm. £4 (or £2 guestlist) entry. Monies go to the acts. |

Send MP3’s, perform at RAW Open Mic or send demo/cd, text or e-mail for a slot on the radio, at the open mic or a gig. |

Not to be confused by the AA 12 steps. Nevertheless a poetry workshop in an alcohol and substance free environment. RAW STEPS aims to gain confidence through expressing your words. It is a limited time course involving both relaxation techniques and mind-freeing exercises with all possible support. This can be an emotional course and demands commitment from the participants. At the end of the term we will decide on a project such as an exhibition, performance or publish a collection of our works (totally optional). |
