'Poetically Speaking' by Artwist:
At first, poetry was beautiful and the
people enjoyed its magic.
Then, poetry was beautiful and sincere.
The people related to it. Then, poetry was sincere and smart.
The people respected it.
Then still, poetry was contrived Soul
Vomit. The people turned away from the poetry and mopped it
away.
Now come I, into the empty halls of the
abandoned poetic libraries.
I am here to wipe the dust off the
beautiful words that make us feel good
Before they mean anything at all.
I want to craft my supernatural from the
sheer beauty
and the critics can eat their flies. |
