An actress and poet who’s
performed in film, theatre and cross-disciplinary arts projects
for a variety of productions/institutions –
from the BBC to Royal Opera House, Soho Theatre to street dance
with homeless people in Brazil.
More recently she’s been
performing her poetry and creating a series of projects and
interactive installations based on her writing, often as
costumed character/eccentric hat maker/hosting alter-ego ‘Damsel
Dusty’ who debuted at the Whitechapel Gallery.
With performances on the
poetry/literary/spoken word circuit, including
the Southbank Centre, London Poetry Festival, Free Word and Book
Club Boutique...

Some of her work deals with
humanitarian issues, which has led to collaborations with
charities and NGO’s, adding her artistic input to their
campaigns. She was recently invited by PEN, Equity and Amnesty
International to perform at a rally in Trafalgar Square, and
also staged her first short play on human trafficking in
relation to London’s 2012 Olympic Games at the Broadway Theatre
last month.
She’s worked as a
facilitator and on development/research projects including
commissions by the GLA’s Design for London, and at schools and
festivals in arts, creative costume making, performance and
playing with language.
