Jason Maverick

Jason was born in Cardiff in 1963 . He acted

childishly for the first 10 years of his life.

His obsessive tendencies led him to represent Wales in athletics and body building. Unfortunately this meant he found it incredibly difficult to stop wearing speedos.

He ran away to Mime School  in 1989 and  subsequently performed his mime and juggling show around the  world. He was awarded 1st prize at the prestigious 15th Rotterdam International Street Theatre Competition.

 His career has taken him all over the world from New York to Shanghai ,Botswana to Lapland. It has  involved many twists and  turns including being a Children’s Television Presenter/Actor and Co- Deviser of Channel  5’s ‘Havakazoo’ for 156 Programmes.

 He performed 78 of his self penned poems for children on this show.

Jason  is not shy to name drop and has performed at private parties for

Madonna, Sting Arnold Schwarzenegger , George Harrison, Jonathan Ross and most notably for Her Majesty the Queen.

His first book ‘Comic Verse for Men and Curious Women’ shows off his love of  writing surreal comic verse.
