Lionel Welch

Started writing and performing poetry in 2008 at the age of 64. Since then has performed open mic at Tongue in Chic, Poetry Kapow, Raising the Awen, and Scribal Gathering. Has also done street performance. Having been a political and trade union activist all his working life, most of his work is based on political or social comment, with a strong left wing bias.
