Mat (Matthew Charles) Lloyd (born 25th May 1978 Aldershot, England) is a performance poet and skateboard activist often referred to as 'The Skater Poet', he is well known in the UK alternative scene....

As well as poetry Mat founded Hemel Skates a group created to ‘fight’ for facilities in his local town that ended up getting a £90,000 installation and still regularly assists other groups all over the UK.

Mat is currently working with the Consumer Action Group in the UK, Don’t TV, and launching his own non-profit skateboard company Discipline Skateboards.

He is a member of the Raison D'etre collective and the Lazy Gramophone Family.

He performs regularly all over the UK.
