Ian Newman Ian Newman aka 'The Bass Whore': the rhythmic half of The Antipoet partnership. Ian slaps out the riffs that Paul rambles over. Ian is currently to be found spanking his plank for Roaring Meg, The Odd Eccentric, Luggage, Sly Quip & The Quickwits and The Antipoet. Ian can also occasionally be found accompanying various folk scratch bands and has played at the odd ceilidh or two. He is also a founder member of the RRANTS collective and would never knowingly turn down the chance to stand on a stage "This bass player's Genius". Ed Tudor Pole Other than music Ian is also a member of the BMMC British Motorsport Marshals Clubs and often spends his Sunday dressed entirely in orange. To date, Ian has only written one piece of poetry... Thanks to Attila for giving me the inspiration. |
