My name is Jason Kyrone, I am
a singer and songwriter, and this is
an introduction to my work.
It feels as though music and
performance has been part of my life
from an early age. I grew up in a
musical family where music was
constantly being played or listened
too, and I always took the
opportunity to act a part or sing
along.
I started performing in front of
large crowds, in established venues,
at the age of 14, as a member of the
Netherbow Youth Theatre. I
progressed to the Royal Lyceum Youth
Theatre which was a great
opportunity to both enhance my
skills and further my passion for
performing During this time I had
been writing music and auditioning
for parts in musicals.
I knew I wanted to pursue a career
in musical performance so I
undertook an HND in Modern
Musicianship. After completing
this, I worked in a recording studio
and played open mics, alongside some
signed artists and received some
amazing reviews, and encouragement.
Currently I perform around Edinburgh
and Glasgow and manage acoustic
nights in various venues. In
addition, I have built an audio
workstation and this allows me to
capture all my creative moments! I
enjoy working just as hard at the
engineering/production aspect of
music as I do at composition.
I write and produce all my own
material, that way I can be sure it
is of a standard I am satisfied
with. I am always easily inspired
and love to experiment amongst
musical genres; I always try to be
as original as possible while
expressing myself.
Recently my musical ability was
noticed by the co-founder of 80:8
photography who has been working
with me to produce some visual
material which showcases my talents
and ability. These guys have a lot
of belief in me and we have worked
together to devise some quality
products to promote my career.
