Sheriff

I started off according to the evening Echo managing the best band in Bournemouth in the early 80s Hoedown At Hanks with 2 Glastonbury acoustic stage appearances under our belt.

This is also when i started to write my poetry and followed the success of the band with 2 appearances at the Glastonbury Festival as a poet and many gigs in and around London.

At the Mean Fiddler George Robey and The Borderline. Also around this time i met Ledger and we formed The Weird Words Project which gained a bit of a cult following in and around the Bournemouth Poole circuit.

Sheriff Sheriff or Sheriff

The Sheriff says its law
The Sheriff says its law
Why are you called Sheriff
Because the Sheriff says its law

Some may call me Shirly
Or Saffron or more
But the reason i am called Sheriff
Is because the Sheriff says its law

Call me what you want to
But you might become a bore
Because my name is bloody Sheriff
And thats the bloody law

DIFFERENT VOICE

Freedom means respecting the colourchart of skin
And showing love to kith and kin
Not smashing skulls against a wall
Because you are big and they are small

If their choice is a different God
It does not mean that you have to shoot the bod
Talk to them explain your view
But remember they have a right to an opinion too

Don't take up arms against your brother
You might not get another

Freedom is respect and choice
Plus being allowed to speak
With a different voice
